The new "verbinder"
Everybody probably expects me to comment on current political events in the USA or Turkey here. But I prefer to leave that to the experts …
At electronica in Munich last autumn, we appeared with a completely new fair stand. We made a conscious decision to set a new course. ‘Emotional enactment’ is the keyword. We’re departing from a commonplace presentation based on technical data in favour of new ways of appealing to the senses.
Just recently, I visited binder USA, where I was able see developments in the course of our 2016 realignment first-hand. Distributing responsibility among ‘three heads’ was the right decision.
In the South Korean market, we aim to exploit existing potentials significantly better than we have thus far, and one of our own employees is working on location to make this happen.
binder China is currently celebrating an anniversary. Fifteen years ago, we founded our first international marketing subsidiary – a milestone in the history of the company. As if it were yesterday, I remember holding the initial discussions with the managing director Weiqun Li and winning her over to the project.
The area of customer-specific solutions is very important to me. We are intensifying our activities in this business area and will expand them in a sustainable manner. The inclusion of this area on our website is a first step.
You have in front of you the 40th issue of the verbinder – a notable achievement. I’m delighted with the verbinder’s tremendous development towards a modern customer magazine that’s in step with the times.
This year’s binder Group sales and management meeting will take place in May at our headquarters in Neckarsulm. I’m looking forward to it as a great opportunity for discussion and the presentation of our goals.
